Lone Star Downhole Products is now Fifty X Technology.Same team. Same campus. Same tolerances. What changed, and what didn't
Cypress, Texas  ·  U.S.-based manufacturer  ·  Est. 2017

Precision manufacturing,
vertically integrated.
Built for industries that can't afford a miss.

CNC machining, engineered elastomers, and fabrication under one roof. Our tolerances were proven thousands of feet downhole, where a failed part costs a rig day. The same standard now serves aerospace, defense, robotics, and any industry that demands it.

Capabilities

Three disciplines.
One roof. One standard.

Most shops machine. Some mold. Very few do both, bond the two together, and own every step from program to final inspection. That integration is the reason a Fifty X part shows up once, correct, and on the date we said.

CNC MACHINING

Precision CNC Machining

Multi-axis turning and milling on alloys that punish sloppy setups. Non-magnetic stainless, high-nickel alloys, and tool steels held to prints that leave no room for interpretation.

  • Non-magnetic stainless (Nitronic 50) and high-nickel alloys
  • Long, thin-wall, and deep-bore work
  • Tight-tolerance threads, seals, and datums
  • In-house programming and prove-out
ENGINEERED ELASTOMERS

Engineered Elastomers & Rubber-to-Metal Bonding

Proprietary HNBR compounds developed with our own chemists, molded in-house and bonded to the metal we machined. One supplier, one accountability, one signature on the cert.

  • Proprietary HNBR compounds (Advanced Series, HyperHeat™)
  • Compression and transfer molding
  • Rubber-to-metal bonding
  • High-temperature and high-pressure service
FABRICATION & REPAIR

Fabrication & High-Demand Repair

Weld, straighten, re-machine, re-bond, re-mark, and return to service. Built for the customer whose tool is on a truck and whose rig is waiting.

  • Repair and refurbishment of critical components
  • Welding, straightening, and re-machining
  • Hot-job scheduling with real-time status
  • Fiber-laser part marking and traceability
Vertically integrated

Every step is ours to control.

Outsourcing a step means inheriting someone else's schedule and someone else's excuse. We removed that risk by bringing the work in-house, in sequence, under one quality system.

Industries

Where the standard goes,
we go.

Our tolerances were forged in one of the hardest environments on earth: the bottom of a directional well. That is the foundation, not the ceiling. The same discipline transfers cleanly to any industry where precision, traceability, and delivery are non-negotiable.

Foundation

Energy — MWD & Directional Drilling

The industry that built us and the one we know best. Specialists, not generalists. →

Growing

Aerospace & Defense

SAM-registered and JCP-certified. Delivering on DLA contracts today. Ready for the primes' supply chains.

Growing

Robotics & Automation

Precision structural and motion components for the machines we're also putting on our own floor.

Active

Industrial & Fluid Handling

Machined-and-bonded seals, sleeves, and wear components for pumps, valves, and rotating equipment.

Emerging

Geothermal & Subsurface Energy

Downhole heat and pressure know-how applied to the next generation of subsurface power.

If you run MWD or directional tools in North America, you already know what we make. New components, rubber centralizers, and the high-demand repair and fabrication work that keeps fleets turning.

We started in 2017 with a single molding press and a proprietary HNBR compound developed for downhole service. Everything since — the CNC capacity, the campus, the robotics — was built to serve this industry better, not to leave it.

Send the print, the failed part, or the field report. You will not need to translate it for us.

New machined components

Housings, subs, pulser and probe components, sleeves, and non-magnetic drill-string parts in Nitronic 50 and high-nickel alloys.

Rubber centralizers

Molded and bonded in-house on proprietary HNBR. Stocked through our North American distribution partner for fast fleet supply.

Repair & refurbishment

Runout correction, re-machining, re-bonding, and re-marking of critical downhole components with documented inspection.

Fabrication & hot jobs

When the tool is on a truck and the rig is waiting. Priority scheduling with clear commitments and live status updates.

Technology & continuous improvement

Never complacent.

"Technology" is in our name because it is in our operating model. We put collaborative robots on the floor in 2025, we mark parts with fiber lasers, and we write our own programs. Every year the shop should be measurably faster, more repeatable, and more capable than the year before. If it isn't, we've failed.

Robotic machine tending

Collaborative robots load and unload our machines so that spindles cut while people solve problems. The roadmap is more cells, longer unattended runs, and consistent throughput.

Fiber-laser marking & traceability

Permanent part identification on stainless and high-nickel alloys, with documented process recipes. Every critical part can be traced to its lot, program, and inspection record.

Proprietary compound development

Our HNBR compounds were developed with chemists for downhole service, then proven in the field. Material science is a capability we own, not a catalog we order from.

Programming and prove-out discipline

Documented program lifecycle, standardized setups, and first-article discipline. The same part runs the same way whether it's the first piece or the five-hundredth.

Operating principle
We are customer-obsessed. Every investment in technology exists to make our customers' parts more precise, more repeatable, and on time.

About Fifty X Technology

Founded on one press.
Built on keeping our word.

Fifty X Technology started in 2017 in Cypress, Texas with one molding press, months of R&D on a proprietary HNBR compound, and a founder who had spent years on the other side of the desk buying downhole components. The first customers came by word of mouth. So did every customer after that.

In 2019 we acquired a local CNC shop and its 30-year machinist, who became a stakeholder. In 2020 we tripled our footprint the week the world shut down and secured our CAGE code. In 2024 we moved into a purpose-built two-building campus. In 2025 we put our first robots on the floor.

Every one of those moves was made to serve customers better — faster response, tighter control, more capability under one roof. Growth to date has been entirely inbound. We intend to keep earning it that way.

  • 2017Founded in Cypress, TX. First molding press; proprietary HNBR compound developed with chemists.
  • 2019Acquired a local CNC machine shop; precision machining joins molding under one roof.
  • 2020Tripled the facility. CAGE code 8JPP2 secured; federal contracting begins.
  • 2024Moved to a custom two-building manufacturing campus at 19615 Juergen Rd.
  • 2025Collaborative robots deployed for machine tending. Fiber-laser marking brought in-house.
  • 2026Lone Star Downhole Products becomes Fifty X Technology.
The name change

New name. Same company.

Lone Star Downhole Products, LLC
Fifty X Technology, LLC
Effective September 2026
Why the change?
Our capabilities outgrew the name. Downhole is where we started and where we remain specialists; the new name reflects the full breadth of what we build and the technology-forward way we build it.
What stays the same?
Same legal entity, same ownership, same team, same campus, same tax ID, same CAGE code and SAM registration, same phone number. Your existing POs, pricing, and quality records carry over unchanged.
What do I need to update?
Vendor records and remit-to name: Fifty X Technology, LLC. Email addresses now end in @fiftyxtechnology.com; old addresses forward during the transition.
Are you leaving oil & gas?
No. MWD and directional drilling customers built this company and remain our core focus. We are adding industries, not replacing one.
